After serving in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years (including a tour of Afghanistan), Sergeant Travis Snyder took it upon himself to start advocacy for veteran mental health after the loss of a fellow comrade.
Walking a total of 2,240 miles, Travis has completed two laps around Lake Michigan on foot, as well as shorter walks to raise funds and awareness for the cause.
We talked about our time in the military, the difficulties in trying to find purpose after serving, and his passion for raising awareness for people with mental health issues.
I had so much fun chatting with Travis! I look forward to him coming back on the show.
